NiNi Robinson With Her Son Daichi Antonio
CEO/Creative Director
Nini Robinson was born in Ukiah, CA a small town outside of Oakland. That’s when she began to realize most of her creativity with reconstructing items from Goodwill’s and Garage Sales. She Later Moved to St. Louis, MO. In High school She only took a sewing class for one semester where she didn’t learn more than threading a needle and hand sewing a couple pillows. Even though she didn’t learn much she knew that it was something she wanted to continue to study. Robinson began hand sewing shirts all the time or reconstructing garments she would purchase from the mall to make them look different. Around the age 20 is when she went to her first Fashion Show in St. Louis, MO. That moment is where she wanted to make her designing and sewing hobby a career. The Online shop has been successfully running since 2010 . She has so much more to show the world with future endeavors.
She's a self taught Designer/Seamstress who didn’t pursue any education in Fashion Design; instead she studied Corporate Communications at Lindenwood University. She started as a local designer and has gradually built her business into a global brand! Although she specializes in custom garments she creates collections that do very well.
The brand was curated for men and women who are looking to look and feel amazing while celebrating some of the best moments in their life. Named after her son Daichi, who also inspired her to expand into children’s clothing. He is also a partner in the brand with his company catering to children called Protege by Daichi Antonio.
Robinson has showcased her designs in fashion shows mainly in different cities. She has partaken in Facet Fashion Week in LA, local shows in New York, Atlanta, and New Orleans for Toya Wright's 5th Anniversary Show! NINI also has her very own successful annual fashion show in her hometown, which is held in June of every year in honor of her Birthday!
